Amine Catalyst A-1
Amine Catalyst A-1 is a highly active **reaction accelerator (blowing catalyst)** used in flexible polyurethane (Flexible Slabstock) systems. This catalyst, which is generally based on bis-(dimethylaminoethyl) ether (BDMAEE), controls gas formation and foam expansion by accelerating the reaction between water and isocyanate in the polyol-isocyanate reaction.
A-1 catalyst shows a strong blowing effect even at low dosage. Thanks to this feature, the cell structure of the foam becomes more open, homogeneous and flexible. It helps to easily achieve the desired density and comfort level during the production process. Especially in slabstock lines, it reduces the risk of collapse while increasing the foam height.
Amine Catalyst A-1 is often used in conjunction with tin catalysts such as stannous octoate (T-9), providing full control over creaming and curing times. This combination makes it possible to achieve balance, stability and repeatable results in production.
A-1 catalyst offered by Areks Kimya offers maximum efficiency and performance in polyurethane systems with its high purity, stability and process compatibility.
