BDMA

BDMA is an effective amine-based gel catalyst widely used in rigid polyurethane (Rigid PU) systems. Benzyldimethylamine, with its chemical name, accelerates the curing (gel phase) of the system in a balanced manner by taking an active role in the later stages of the polyol-isocyanate reaction.

This catalyst is of critical importance in terms of cell stability and mechanical strength in rigid foam production. Thanks to its controlled reactivity profile, it ensures proper hardening of the foam, improves surface quality and minimizes internal stresses. BDMA is an ideal choice, especially for polyisocyanurate (PIR) systems, rigid spray foam and panel applications.
